Munsell Excels, But Trash Pandas Win
Shreveport third baseman Jeremiah Munsell had a good game, even if his team did not. The Engineers dropped a 7-5 decision to Rocket City at Hank Aaron Stadium. Munsell hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Marreese Scott was the winning pitcher. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Woodie Washington earned the save, his 17th.

The Trash Pandas got an important contribution from first baseman Steve Gonthier, who in the bottom of the second punched a 1-2 cutter into right for a bases-clearing double. It was his 15th double of the season and put the Trash Pandas ahead, 6-0.

"I do my best to contribute," said Gonthier.

Rocket City is 6th in the Southern League Southeast Division with a record of 34-40.
