Arkansas Travelers starter Benjamim Carvalho turned in a top-notch performance against the Midland RockHounds at Dickey-Stephens Park. The result was a win for the Travelers, 5-2. Carvalho, now 4-1, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Lee Lyles nailed down his 6th save.

Hollis Freeman was 1-3 with a hit by pitch for Arkansas. The 27-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Hutton Moore. It was his 45th hit of the season.

In comments to the Arkansas Citizen, Freeman admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
