Corpus Christi Crafts 4-3 Win
|
The Corpus Christi Hooks faced a tough opponent in Tulsa pitcher Easton Ronan, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Whataburger Field by a final score of 4-3. Ronan went 7.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. With the win, the Hooks have a record of 45-31.
Corpus Christi got a knockout punch from Bartholo Valentin. The shortstop hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"Good hitters want to be the ones taking those big at-bats," said Valentin.
