RoughRiders Deal Biscuits 1-0 Loss
|
Zach Sergeant pitched a gem to lead Frisco to victory over the Montgomery Biscuits, 1-0. Royce Huerta, now 3-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 0. With the win, Frisco upped its record to 44-31.
Frisco used a clutch hit from Eitor Rosa to get the win. The left fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the RoughRiders ahead, 1-0. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
During his postgame press conference, RoughRiders manager John Dresher told reporters that he expected a tight game from the get-go. "This had the potential to go down to the wire, and it certainly didn't disappoint," he said, later quipping, "it might've been a little less nerve-racking if I had been watching the game from my couch!"
