Led by Joel Shelly, the Montgomery Biscuits defeated the Biloxi Shuckers, 7-5, in 10 innings. Shelly went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Biscuits. Montgomery reliever Mitch Day got the win, raising his record to 3-1. Nathan Spiller was tagged with the loss. Jonah Hopkins recorded the save, his 18th.

It could have been a different outcome for Montgomery, had it not been for Jacob Kiser, the 25-year old catcher . Kiser contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Montgomery up, 6-5.

Kiser told a Montgomery Bulletin reporter that he felt "ecstatic" after the win.

The first-place Biscuits go to 47-25.
