The Engineers earned a hard-fought, 4-3 win in 10 innings at Engineers Ballpark. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Midland pitcher Landon McFarland. McFarland went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run. The third-place RockHounds now sit at 41-29.

The Engineers got a clutch hit from catcher Jordan Silva. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Engineers.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Shreveport manager Bryce Scott.
