Gateway center fielder Pablo Zarazua had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-6, to Akron at FNB Field. Zarazua was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. With the loss, Gateway falls to 4-9.

Akron used the timely hitting of Kole Arrington to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the RubberDucks on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Arrington, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
