Cook Homers Twice in 9-4 Naturals Win
The performance of Nicol Cook proved critical in helping Northwest Arkansas beat Montgomery, 9-4. The Naturals catcher belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. J.J. Richardson was the winner. He's now 3-3. The loser was 27-year old left-handed pitcher Catfish Crest. At 26-45, Northwest Arkansas is in last place in the Southern League Texas Division.

With Northwest Arkansas leading 3-0 in the top of the second, Cook came up to bat against Montgomery pitcher Catfish Crest. Cook hit a changeup to left-center for a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Naturals on top, 6-0.

"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Cook told the Northwest Arkansas Times. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
