The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp overcame a good performance by Tennessee first baseman José Lamas to knock off Tennessee, 5-4, at Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. Lamas was 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win for the Jumbo Shrimp lifted their record to 56-11.

Kazumu Kobayashi helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 1-0, Jumbo Shrimp.

Jacksonville manager Craig Lauer was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
