Braves Throttled by Aces, 5-1
|
Good production from first baseman Mario Yamagata helped the Alexandria Aces topple the Mississippi Braves, 5-1. Yamagata was 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times for the Aces. Emerson Castillo picked up the win with 6.2 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 5-5. The last-place Braves have lost 6 straight games.
Dylan Taylor had a big 2-run double for the Aces in the bottom of the first inning. With Alexandria leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Timoteo Velazquez and swatted a double to right. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aces ahead, 3-0.
