The Biloxi Shuckers topped the Mississippi Braves, 6-4, in Southern League action at Trustmark Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Biloxi pitcher Jerry Molloy. Molloy, now 5-6, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 3, walking 3, and allowing 3 runs. Aryan Donovan earned the save for Biloxi, his 3rd of the year.
The Shuckers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Nathan Keen. For the game, Keen went 1-5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Biloxi a 2-0 lead.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Molloy said.
The win has Biloxi at 26-40.
