Missions Suffer 4-2 Setback
The San Antonio Missions went down to defeat to Ricardino Solomon and his Shreveport teammates. The final score was 4-2, in favor of the Engineers. Solomon picked up the win for Shreveport, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2. Their 31-33 record puts the Engineers 7th in the Southern League Texas Division.

Phil Johnson dealt the Missions a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Shreveport leading 2-1, Johnson, who is tied for 8th in the SL in home runs with 11, hit a 2-0 changeup for a 2-run single.

San Antonio manager Matt Bruno said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
