In a low-scoring contest, Yonkers pitcher Hayden Young was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-1 win. Jack MacArthur collected his 5th save.

Val Vazquez, who is tied for 4th in the EL in triples with 1, had a direct impact on the outcome. Vazquez contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning to put Yonkers up, 2-0.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Binghamton manager Zane Tharp.

Yonkers, now 11-5, has gotten their season off to a good start.
