The Montgomery Biscuits took on the Chattanooga Scouts at AT&T Field.

Chattanooga right fielder Wyatt Sommerfield had a good game, even if his team did not. The Scouts dropped a 7-6 decision to Montgomery at AT&T Field. Sommerfield went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. Montgomery pitcher Brady Joiner earned the win, hiking his record to 1-0. Brandon Webster suffered the loss. Bear Bridges picked up the save, his 18th.

Mickey Doutt came through with a big-time hit for Montgomery. The left fielder smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 7-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"They beat us fair and square," Chattanooga skipper Fletcher Goolsby said.

Montgomery is now 43-16, while Chattanooga is 35-24.
