The Midland RockHounds clobbered the San Antonio Missions, 11-0, at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. Leading the onslaught was James Andren. He went 3 for 6 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for Midland. Vic Tate went 6.1 innings, allowing no runs on 4 hits. The left-hander struck out 3 and walked 5. With the win, he ups his record to 6-3 this season. The win puts the RockHounds at 33-26, while the Missions drop to 28-31.

With Midland leading 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Andren hit a sinker from Rowen Jones for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the RockHounds ahead, 3-0.

"We didn't put our best foot forward tonight," said losing manager Matt Bruno.
