Tejeda Helps Scouts Beat Drillers, 7-5
Chattanooga and Tulsa duked it out and the Scouts came out victorious.

Behind a solid performance from right fielder Israel Tejeda, the Chattanooga Scouts defeated the Tulsa Drillers, 7-5. Tejeda went 4-5 with a home run and 2 triples, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Scouts. Rey Hernández, now 7-2, was credited with the win in 3 innings of relief. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 0 and walking 0.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jordyn Fichtner? The Chattanooga third baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Scouts on top, 2-0. For the game, Fichtner had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We did a lot of good things tonight," said Chattanooga manager Fletcher Goolsby.

The first-place Scouts hiked their record to 37-22.
