Jacksonville Hot Streak Continues with 2-1 Win
|
Shreveport wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Jeremy Meyer, falling to the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, 2-1. Meyer threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Jeron Murrow recorded the save, his 7th. The Jumbo Shrimp, now 45-10, have won 10 in a row.
Kazumu Kobayashi had a direct impact on the outcome. Kobayashi contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning to put Jacksonville up, 2-0.
"This team is real focused right now," said Jacksonville manager Craig Lauer.
