Jacksonville Dispatched, 4-2, by Tulsa
Jacksonville wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Nathan Ampey, falling to the Tulsa Drillers, 4-2. Ampey threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Tulsa reliever Jerónimo Chacon was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Michael Cary took the loss. The victory makes Tulsa 19-36.

The Drillers beat the Jumbo Shrimp in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Rob Regan produced in the bottom of the eighth. Batting against Michael Cary, Regan gave his team the lead, 4-2, when he hit a 2-run single.

After the game, Tulsa manager Danny McLain applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
