The home crowd had a good time watching the Quebec Metros and Lancaster Barnstormers get after it.

The Lancaster Barnstormers downed the Quebec Metros, 5-0, at FirstEnergy Stadium. Lancaster pitcher Reginald Farias definitely brought his A-game. Farias, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up no walks.

Julian Marquardt had a big 2-run double for the Barnstormers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Lancaster leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a curveball from Elton Ghiloni and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Barnstormers ahead, 3-0.

"All good teams, all good offenses go through challenging times," said Quebec manager Justin Maurer. "This is another one."

For Quebec, now 2-12, the season is off to a dismal start.
