RoughRiders Go 10 Innings to Beat Pensacola, 2-1
|
The Pensacola Blue Wahoos got a superb performance from pitcher Johnny Noonan. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Frisco. The RoughRiders won the game, 2-1. Noonan threw 5.0 innings of 3-hit ball. A.J. Estrada was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Michael Jansen. The win for the RoughRiders lifted their record to 31-18.
The RoughRiders got a clutch hit from shortstop Jackson McKinstry. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the RoughRiders.
"You don't always need a lot of runs to win," said McKinstry. "Sometimes you need just one or two."
