Tennessee Gets 12-6 Win Against Missions
Tennessee and San Antonio put this game in the books despite some rain.

The Tennessee Smokies handed the San Antonio Missions a loss at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. The final score was 12-6. Heath Polanco was one of the major contributors for Tennessee. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Troy Jamieson came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-1.

Zach Hicks came through with a big-time hit for Tennessee. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 7-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We take it day by day here," said Hicks, "and today was a good one for us."

With the win, the Smokies have a record of 25-24.
