The Montgomery Biscuits beat the Midland RockHounds by a score of 5-2. Montgomery second baseman León Lopez deserved the lion's share of the credit. Lopez went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI for the Biscuits. With the win, the Biscuits improved to 33-18.

Montgomery used the timely hitting of Rickey Alaniz to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Biscuits on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
