Rankin Delivers Walk-Off Win for Travelers
|
The Arkansas Travelers scored a tight, 3-2 win versus the Chattanooga Scouts at Dickey-Stephens Park. Arkansas pitcher Jake Couture held his own in the contest. Arkansas pitcher A.J. Khairallah got the win, upping his record to 4-2. Lucas Soileau got the loss. Arkansas is now 30-19, Chattanooga 28-21.
Lee Rankin was the walk-off hero for Arkansas. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Travelers second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Jake is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Arkansas manager George French.
