RubberDucks Jolt SeaWolves, 3-1, with Late Rally
|
The Akron RubberDucks took Erie pitcher Oscar Cleveland's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Canal Park. The final score had Akron getting past the SeaWolves, 3-1. Cleveland went 7 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 3. Akron pitcher Ryker Crouse got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Adony Lingenfelter got the loss. The SeaWolves fall to 6-8 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Akron took a 3-1 lead on Judah Majewski's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Majewski hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Erie pitcher Adony Lingenfelter visibly frustrated.
Erie manager Jose Villalobos, after the game, said, "Right now, we're just not getting that big hit."
