RockHounds Rally to Eke Out Win
The Midland RockHounds had to overcome a fine effort from Biloxi pitcher J.J. Long to win, 6-5, in 12 innings at Biloxi Grounds. Long went 8.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. The RockHounds improved to 26-20.

Matias Vaquero was 1 for 5 for Midland. With one out and the game tied in the top of the 12th inning, Vaquero had a clutch at-bat. Facing Biloxi hurler Butch Haynes, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the RockHounds a 6-5 lead.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Midland field general T.J. Saddler.
