4-2 Triumph Takes Pensacola to 28-18
|
The Pensacola Blue Wahoos defeated the Montgomery Biscuits, 4-2, in Southern League action at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. Pensacola pitcher Garfield Walker had a standout performance. The win belonged to Normando Suazo in relief. His record improves to 3-0. R.J. Roudebush took the loss for Montgomery. Kolter Rodgers earned the save for Pensacola, his 9th.
Alex DeFilippo delivered a big hit for Pensacola. The center fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Blue Wahoos ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
DeFilippo called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
The 4th-place Blue Wahoos improved to 28-18.
