The Tennessee Smokies earned a win at Smokies Park, stopping the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 6-2. Starting pitcher Martin Villarreal played a big role in his team's success. Tennessee, at 18-27, sits in last place in the Southern League Southeast Division.

Justino Chavez went 1-4, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Tennessee. The 26-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a 2-run single off Wallace Randle. It was his 16th hit of the season.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Chavez.
