Multi-HR Game for Murray in 7-3 Win
|
The Shreveport Engineers topped the Chattanooga Scouts, 7-3, the lion's share of the credit going to left fielder Cristóbal Murray. On the day, Murray was 2-2 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Engineers. Steve Mullen was the winner. He's now 5-2. The loser was 21-year old left-handed pitcher Wilmot Edward. The Engineers, now 26-15, have won 9 in a row.
It could have been a different outcome for Shreveport, had it not been for Holden Pearson, the 27-year old left fielder . Pearson contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put Shreveport up, 2-1.
"We're on a roll," said Engineers manager Bryce Scott.
