The Midland RockHounds and San Antonio Missions completed their game despite the inclement weather.

The San Antonio Missions got a superb performance from shortstop Reggie Ferguson, but the Midland RockHounds still won the game, 8-7. Ferguson was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the win was Lyle Lindsay. He went 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 8 hits. The right--hander struck out 3 and walked 1. The save was credited to Dustin Cale, his 12th.

In the top of the sixth, Alejandro Ortiz delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 3rd, the Midland catcher hit a run-scoring single, putting the RockHounds in front, 8-7.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Ortiz, "but we got it done."

After today's action, Midland sits at 27-14; San Antonio slips to 16-25.
