Scouts Down RockHounds, 5-4
|
The Chattanooga Scouts wiggled past the Midland RockHounds, 5-4, in 11 innings at AT&T Field. The win was highlighted by the performance of Chattanooga pitcher Jack Ginsbach. Chattanooga reliever A.J. Fabricant picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Pingo Rondan was tagged with the loss. The win puts the Scouts at 18-26, while the RockHounds drop to 23-21.
Chattanooga got a knockout punch from Ian Aguilera. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"It was a test of wills," said Fletcher Goolsby, the Chattanooga skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
