The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp buried the San Antonio Missions, 16-1, under a barrage of hits. Yormani Calderon led the onslaught, going 3-for-5 for Jacksonville. Jacksonville now owns a record of 27-17.
Jacksonville used the hitting of Zachary Matthews to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put the Jumbo Shrimp on top, 1-0. For the game, Matthews had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
San Antonio manager Matt Bruno said "nothing went right"in the blowout loss.
