The Halifax Frigates beat the Providence Crabs, 10-2, at Holyoke Grounds. Halifax catcher Landon Key had an outstanding performance. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Kenneth Wilkie picked up the win with 8 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 1-2. The Crabs are now 5-9.

Halifax used the timely hitting of Robbie Harada to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Frigates on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"This is one game in a long season," said losing manager Craig Hodge. "The sooner we can forget about it, the better."
