The Shreveport Engineers earned a win at Biloxi Grounds, knocking off the Biloxi Shuckers, 4-0. On the bump for Shreveport was right-hander Pepillo Mejia. He had a starring role in the triumph. Mejia yielded no runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 4, and struck out 5. His record improves to 5-1. Freddie Mercado closed it out for Shreveport, earning his 15th save.

Greg Spells had a direct impact on the outcome. Spells contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the second inning to put Shreveport up, 1-0.

"I thought Pepillo threw the ball well across the board," said Shreveport manager Kip Fors.

The win for the Engineers raised their record to 22-18.
