Engineers Rally to Beat Shuckers, 2-1

Getting an impressive start from Earl Turner, Shreveport beat Biloxi by the score of 2-1. Carson Ward, now 2-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. Bruno Hall earned his 2nd save, after closing out the game.
Shreveport used the hitting of Jens McHugh to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put the Engineers on top, 1-0. For the game, McHugh had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Runs were at a premium," said Shreveport manager Bryce Scott.
Shreveport has now reeled off 8 straight wins.
