Biloxi got a terrific performance from pitcher Justin Buterbaugh, but it wasn't enough to beat the Shreveport Engineers. Shreveport won the Biloxi Grounds contest, 3-1. Buterbaugh threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The win was credited to Joshua Darvin in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Joshua Anderson took the loss. Sam Mootz picked up the save, his 10th.

Shreveport used a timely hit from Holden Pearson to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Engineers ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

Afterward, Engineers manager Bryce Scott said, "We had some good at-bats, some big at-bats in some key situations."

The victory gives Shreveport a record of 23-15.
