The Shreveport Engineers picked up a win at Biloxi Grounds, downing the Biloxi Shuckers, 5-4, in 11 innings. On the mound for Shreveport was right-hander Roldan Donzelli, who played a pivotal role in the win. The win went to Freddie Mercado in relief, making him now 3-1. Lance Park took the loss for Biloxi. Shreveport, at 27-10, sits in first place in the Southern League Texas Division.

Shreveport used a timely hit from Vaughn Love to get the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Engineers ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Took some scratching and clawing," said Donzelli. "But we got it done."
