The Montgomery Biscuits picked up a win, 4-2, over the Rocket City Trash Pandas at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. Mike Burns led the charge. The Stockton, California native was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Montgomery. The winning pitcher was Ethan Bailey. His record now stands at 3-2. The left-hander went 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits for the Biscuits. The 'W' lifts Montgomery's record to 25-13.
Montgomery took a 2-1 lead on Manuel Montenegro's 8th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Montenegro hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Rocket City pitcher Ryder Braunschweig visibly frustrated.
