The Rocket City Trash Pandas topped the Corpus Christi Hooks, 6-5, the lion's share of the credit going to third baseman Halian Novinger. On the day, Novinger was 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Trash Pandas. Elijah Shipley earned the win for Rocket City. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 2-3. Ted Hill picked up the save for Rocket City, his 3rd of the year.

In the top of the third, Novinger had a grand slam home run for Rocket City. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Trash Pandas on top, 5-1.
