The Tennessee Smokies took it on the chin, losing, 10-1, to the Alexandria Aces. Chad Thomas Jr., who is tied for 3rd in the SL in innings pitched with 52.1, pitched a strong game for Alexandria. The winner was Thomas Jr.. He threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Ingemar Mattox. The Aces now have a mark of 14-23.
In the bottom of the fourth, Alexandria third baseman Ethan Gilbertson had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Gilbertson stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 2-1, Alexandria. For the game, he was 1-2 with 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
