Montgomery Rallies Past Tennessee, 8-6
|
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Biscuits beat the Smokies.
Easton Poepping led Montgomery to a win over Tennessee. The final score was 8-6. Poepping collected 2 RBI, while going 3 for 4 at the plate. The designated hitter also scored 2 times. Montgomery reliever Mitch Day picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Aiden Click absorbed the loss. Earning his 10th save of the year was Jonah Hopkins.
Polk City, Florida native Easton Poepping had a clutch at-bat in the bottom of the eighth for the Biscuits. With Montgomery trailing 6-5, he hit a 2-run single.
"You start putting runs on the board and winning, everyone's going to get excited," said Poepping.
With the win, Montgomery pushed its record to 20-13.
