Shreveport 25-9 After 7-3 Victory

With third baseman Paul Ramsey leading the charge, the Shreveport Engineers defeated the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 7-3, at Engineers Ballpark. Ramsey, the 3rd overall pick in the 2061 draft, went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Shreveport pitcher Jim Hovekamp earned the win, hiking his record to 1-1. Alberto Baxter suffered the loss. The Engineers improved to a lofty 25-9.
In the bottom of the fourth, Bibiano Ortiz delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Shreveport left fielder hit a 2-run single, putting the Engineers in front, 7-3.
"We've got a great group of guys," Ortiz said, "and we're having fun right now."
