With Late Score, Engineers Beat Scouts
The Shreveport Engineers had to overcome a fine effort from Chattanooga pitcher Roy Bonilla to win, 3-2, at Engineers Ballpark. Bonilla went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Shreveport reliever Kaleb Martz picked up the win. Steve Patton took the loss for Chattanooga. Bernard Blunt closed it out for Shreveport, earning his 9th save.

Wes Hays helped out the Shreveport cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 3, while adding 2 RBI.

"We busted our tails," said Chattanooga manager Fletcher Goolsby. "But we came up short."

Shreveport sits in 6th place in the Southern League Texas Division at 17-17.
