The Shreveport Engineers defeated the Rocket City Trash Pandas, 5-3, at Engineers Ballpark. Shreveport was led by 27-year old right fielder Justin Martin, who was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Freddie Mercado recorded the save for Shreveport, his 12th of the season. Shreveport bumps their record to 18-15 with the win.

John Evans, who is tied for 8th in the SL in stolen bases with 5, went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs for Shreveport. In a tie game with one out in the bottom of the seventh, Evans came through with a run-scoring walk. It put the Engineers in front, 4-3.

"I'm a bit of a clubhouse prankster," said Martin. "But it's all business when we're on the field."
