|
The Rocket City Trash Pandas got a sterling performance from pitcher Mark Greenland, but the Montgomery Biscuits still prevailed, 5-3. Greenland threw 5.2 innings allowing 1 run. Emmanuel Waas closed it out for Montgomery, earning his 10th save. With the win, the Biscuits hiked their record to 20-14.
Eugene Blanchard hit a run-scoring double off Norm Apolo in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Biscuits in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Blanchard had 2 singles, while going 3 for 4.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Blanchard told the Montgomery Citizen.
