Roberto Gaxiola, despite pitching well, was dismayed with the outcome: a hard-fought, 2-1 Tulsa Drillers defeat at the hands of the St. Petersburg Flying Squirrels at The Diamond. St. Petersburg pitcher Gabriel Gener got the win, upping his record to 2-1. Roberto Gaxiola got the loss. Wilder Macaya earned save number 10 this season.

St. Petersburg went up, 2-1, on Dilan Pimentel's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which Pimentel hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Tulsa pitcher Roberto Gaxiola shaking his head.

Pimentel attributed the win to his team's "collective resolve."

The loss makes Tulsa 11-25.
