Ravens Pull Out Late Win, 3-2
|
The New Haven Ravens earned a close win over the Lincoln Bighorns, thanks in part to Maxwell Rinehart. The New Haven right-hander, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2057 draft, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. The win belonged to Fidalgo Santiago in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Bailey Dial took the loss for Lincoln. New Haven is now 9-3.
The Ravens got a big at-bat from second baseman Linus Arnold. For the game, Arnold went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave New Haven a 2-0 lead.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Lincoln manager Jackson Ladue. "But we decided not to take it."
