The 4-hit performance of Jordan Sablan, who is tied for 9th in the SL in hits with 43, helped the Alexandria Aces beat the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 5-1. Konnor Jackson, the winner, improved to 3-2. He held the Blue Wahoos to 1 run on 3 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 10 and walking 0. Quentin Shane earned save number 1 this season.

With Alexandria leading 2-1 in the bottom of the second, Sablan hit a cutter from Houston Hollander for a run-scoring double. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Aces ahead, 3-1.

"We understand we didn't play our best baseball," said losing manager Bill Ortiz. "We'll shower it off and be ready to compete."

Alexandria occupies 6th place in the Southern League Texas Division at 17-19.
