The Midland RockHounds picked up a win at Dickey-Stephens Park, dropping the Arkansas Travelers, 5-3. Prelander Amador, who is tied for 3rd in the SL in innings pitched with 45.1, was the difference-maker. Amador got the win, improving to 4-2. He gave up 8 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Picking up his 7th save was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Landon McFarland.

Midland used a well-timed hit by Derek Meyer to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the RockHounds ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Meyer told the Midland Times.

The 4th-place RockHounds now have a record of 18-13.
