Biscuits Make It 9 in a Row with 3-1 Win
Montgomery took on Biloxi in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Marlon Valdez, in particular, was fantastic. The Montgomery left-hander helped his team snag the win, 3-1. Valdez yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-2. Bear Bridges was credited with the save for Montgomery, his 10th of the season.

In the top of the ninth, Duke Cyr stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Shuckers were trailing 3-1, but had runners on 1st and 2nd. That's when Bear Bridges made a terrific pitch and Cyr lined out. Gone was the dream of a Biloxi comeback.

The Biscuits saw their record improve to 25-7.
