The Tulsa Drillers topped the St. Petersburg Flying Squirrels, 7-1, at The Diamond. Tulsa catcher Von Pinion was a spark plug for the offense. He was 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. St. Petersburg now has a record of 13-14.

With Tulsa leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Pinion hit a cutter from Matt Lemonde for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Drillers ahead, 5-0.
