Popp, Drillers March to 9-2 Victory
|
Boosted by the 4-hit performance of Wyatt Popp, who is tied for 4th in the SL in triples with 2, the Tulsa Drillers defeated the Tennessee Smokies, 9-2. The win boosted Tulsa to 19-9.
Gregg Lentz chipped in a 3-run home run for Tulsa in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI.
"We're trying to go out there and win games," Popp told the Tulsa Citizen, "and we played pretty well tonight."
