Big Day for McGinnis as Blue Wahoos Down Aces, 12-6
|
The Pensacola Blue Wahoos beat the Alexandria Aces, 12-6, at Blue Wahoos Stadium. The win was due in part to first baseman Seth McGinnis, who went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. Alberto Baxter, the winner, is now 4-0. He struck out 2 and walked 5 over 5.2 innings, while allowing 6 runs on 9 hits. The win puts Pensacola at 15-9.
In the top of the first, McGinnis had a bases-clearing double for Pensacola. It was his 6th double of the season and put the Blue Wahoos on top, 3-0.
McGinnis called the triumph "a good team win."
