RoughRiders Defeat Smokies, 7-6
|
The Frisco RoughRiders beat the Tennessee Smokies, 7-6, in 10 innings at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. Andres LaFalce, in particular, was impressive. He was 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Frisco pitcher Elijah Grismer got the win, upping his record to 2-1. Rudy Bonilla got the loss. With the loss, Tennessee drops to 8-16.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, LaFalce hit a circle change from Rudy Bonilla for a run-scoring single. The RoughRiders, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"This is a resilient bunch," said Frisco manager Brooks Boyd.
